우리는 종종 새로운 것에 집중한 나머지,
오랫동안 익숙했던 것들을 잊어버릴 때가 있습니다.
대량 생산은 분명 우리의 삶을 더 편리하게 만들었습니다.
하지만 그 편리함 속에서,
수천 가지 색깔은 어느새 몇 가지 색으로 축소되어 버렸습니다.
일본 시부야(Shibuya)는 이러한 대량 생산의 흐름 속에서도
자신들만의 개성을 지키며
여전히 인간의 다채로움을 담아내고 있습니다.
그리고 오늘, 제가 찾아간 곳은 바로
“Lost And Found.”
이 공간은 ‘옛것들의 아름다움과 실용성’이라는 가치를 소중히 여기며,
우리가 잊고 지낸 고유한 색을 다시 떠올릴 수 있게 해줍니다.
나란히 놓인 하얀 그릇들은
멀리서 보면 모두 비슷해 보이지만,
가까이에서 들여다보면
각기 다른 선과 결을 지닌
고유한 아름다움을 지니고 있었습니다.
우리가 추구하는 ‘진짜 아름다움’을
실제로 구현하고 있는 가게를 만나
참으로 반가웠고, 깊은 울림을 느꼈습니다.

We often become so focused on the new
that we forget what has long been familiar.
Mass production has certainly made life more convenient,
but in the process, the richness of countless colors
has been reduced to just a handful of tones.
In Shibuya, Japan,
amid the waves of mass production,
there remains a vibrant expression of individuality—
a place where human diversity still finds its form.
Today, I visited a shop called
“Lost And Found.”
This space cherishes the beauty and practicality of the past,
offering us a chance to rediscover the colors we’ve forgotten.
Lined-up white bowls may look identical from afar,
but when you take a closer look,
each one reveals its own unique lines and light.
I was truly delighted to find a shop
that embodies the very beauty we aspire to.
It was like encountering something long searched for—
quietly waiting in its own forgotten, beautiful space.
