인상 깊었던 내용
그러나 특정 세대가 공유하는 정신적 태도인 ‘시대정신’이라는 것이 있다. 이것은 개인에서 개인으로 전달되면서 하나의 사회에 특정한 색채를 부여한다. 우리 각자는 이 시대정신을 변화시키는 데 조금이나마 제 몫을 다해야 한다.
아인슈타인이 말하는 ‘시대정신’이라는 개념이 인상 깊었습니다.
한 시대의 생각은 개인에게서 개인으로 전달되고, 결국 사회 전체의 모습을 만들어갑니다. 그렇다면 지식은 역시 그 시대정신을 단순히 받아들이는 사람이 아니라, 그것을 만들어가는 사람이어야 합니다.

Why I Read It
Albert Einstein left his thoughts not only on science but also on economics, politics, education, and society.
I wanted to think about how he viewed society as a scientist, and what responsibility an intellectual should have toward society.
What Impressed Me
There is also what we call the “spirit of the age,” a mental attitude shared by a particular generation. It is passed from one individual to another and gives a society a certain character. Each of us should do our small part in changing this spirit of the age.
I was particularly struck by Einstein’s idea of the “spirit of the age.”
The ideas of an era are passed from person to person and eventually shape the character of society. If that is true, we should not simply accept the spirit of our age. We should also take part in shaping it.
A Question I Took Away
What kind of spirit of the age are we living in today?
And how are intellectuals shaping it?
It made me think about what kind of ideas I want to leave for the next generation.
